We love hanging out at the waterholes in the Park. We like to "pack a snack" and just sit for several hours at a time. There is always something interesting going on.

I like the Hippos!
by: Brad

You've got to be quick to get hippos doing their threat displays. I have sat watching them for hours and while watching one the other opens his mouth or you look away for a few seconds and when
you look back the mouth is just closing. Well done on getting these pics!

relaxing waterholes
by: Jennifer

Thanks Mary Jane for your lovely pics at the different waterholes in KNP. It gives people an idea as to what comes down to drink or what you can see coming out of the water. I love the Klipspringer picture because you can see the river in the back ground and the klipspringer look like they are kissing.

"It's 768 pages of the most amazing information. It consists of, well, everything really. Photography info...area info...hidden roads..special places....what they have seen almost road by road. Where to stay just outside the Park...camp information.
