Manyane Resort is a large fenced camp in the Manyane complex, which lies on the south-east side of the park- bordering the Pilanesberg Game Reserve.
The chalets are private and very cozy inside - some face onto an open veld, while others have a view into the park. The 10 Studio chalets, sleep two people and the 14 family chalets, sleep 4 people.
All the chalets are self catering, with a fully equipped kitchen a braai area and a private patio.
Nothing beats braaing under the stars with a good glass of wine and watching the moon rise or watching the resident impala walk by.
Manyane has 21 Safari tents that provide bedding, tea and coffee station, heater and cupboard space.
There is also a large camping site (some with power points and some with out). They have a small but well stocked caravan shop situated in the camping area and communal freezers next to the caravan shop if you need a freezer for your food.
The cozy, well positioned restaurant is situated next to reception and the swimming-pool. The large animal paintings on the wall give a really warm feeling while dining.
We have had lovely meals at the restaurant with the quality of the food being good and the staff are also very friendly..
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all served in the restaurant or you can choose to sit outside near the pool area - just beware of the monkeys that come down to steal you food.
Relax round the swimming-pool, while the kids play in the playground area, or try the archery range, or a game of putt-putt.
At night you can hear the jackals calling to one another and in the morning you may wake up to impala or zebra grazing in front of your chalet or tent.
The walk-in aviary is ideal for getting close up photographs of wild birds. We love the walking trail within the Manyane complex, because you get to see kudu, zebra, impala vervet monkeys and warthog up close.
If the above activities are not enough to keep you busy, then go on a self-drive safari or a guided game drive, or other exciting excursions like a hot air Balloon Safari, Bush Braai or Bush Breakfast. There are a few good hides and dams......
