Cheetah and cubs off the S100

Cheetah and cubs off the S100

Sherry and I have made many trips to Kruger where we struck out on seeing Cheetah but on this last trip we were able to photograph either 8 or 12. As it was groups of 4 and we saw them in different locations not sure if they were duplicates. One time though we saw them within 20 minutes off the main road 10km apart so it was at least two groups. Unfortunately the the most interesting shots were taken on the far side of the river on the S100 and are not that good. They are though interesting.

Great sighting and pics!

We have never seen cheetahs in the riverbeds on any of our many Kruger safaris! Leopards yes, so this is an unusual sighting.

The first two photos were taken across the N'wanetsi river from the S100. The second two were taken from the H1-3 Just north of Tshokwane in the N'waswitsontso river bed

Not easy to get
by: Jenny

Nice Bob, cheetahs are not always easy to find in the Kruger and you found 12 wow good going. Where in the Kruger did photograph them, you mentioned a river and from what we can see it looks a dry river bed, but in which area of the park?
