Dune valley cottage set on top of the dune with a view to the horizon.

From Rietfontein we traveled via Askham to a Guest farm Dune valley, Run by Magda and Claude, where we had stayed over on a previous occasion. A cabin set on top of a dune about 5 Km from the main house into the farm. Star gazing at its best and time to reflect on the days of the trip gone past. Plenty of dunes to scale and just admire the wonders of the Kalahari.

Dunevalley stargazing.
by: Anonymous

The remoteness of the cabin at dunevalley renders it a perfect stargazing opportunity. There is absolutely nothing to hamper your view of the sky. The lights of Askham glow on the horizon like a sunrise. Magda and Claude are two friendly people to associate with.

"It's 768 pages of the most amazing information. It consists of, well, everything really. Photography info...area info...hidden roads..special places....what they have seen almost road by road. Where to stay just outside the Park...camp information.
