Martial eagle - what a magestic bird

This martial eagle kept us entertained for about an hour - he was preening, then yawning, then staring at us, then he would sit opn one foot, then the other - he never kept still!

I like the stare!

The Kgalagadi is great for raptors but don';t think they are easy to photograph. One year we saw many raptors but they were either too far away or we were shooting into the sun, so well done on this picture - great pose and great lighting!
