Eagle gets away

In an earlier posting I mentioned that we were fortunate in seeing a Secretary bird chase a Martial eagle. We were on our way to one of Etosha's water holes when we noticed a Martial standing on the ground. We stoped to photograph it when a Secretary bird started walking toward the Martial. When it got about 20 yards away, it launched itself at the Eagle. While it didn't catch the eagle, to us, it was unique. Never thought that a secretary would chase a martial. Sorry for the quality of the photos, but I wasn't prepared.

some pics are better than none

This happens to us often when we are photographing a subject, then all or a sudden something happens and we don't know which subject to focus on or we miss the shot completely, so well done on getting some of the action!
