Hammerkop

by Gerrie van Vuuren
(Pilanesberg)

Hammerkop at Lake Mankwe

Hammerkop at Lake Mankwe

The Hamerkop is normaly sighted at lakes & rivers. It is however an infrequent visitor at Mankwe and seldom offers an opportunity to photograph it. I was fortunate to get this take-off from the walkway at Mankwe hide.
